Please join us on Saturday, December 28th, for a night of music at The Modbo gallery.  17c East Bijou St., 80903. 633-4240. $8 suggested donation.  Jacque Ryal, all the way from NYC, will be joined by local band Swelter and Burn.  Doors at 8, show at 9.

Jacque Ryal of New York based indie pop outfit, Strip Darling is excited to play her second show at The Modbo.  Time Out New York and the Interrobang’s Filtered Excellence calls the music “atmospheric and an impressively diverse set which is very much on par with artists such as Tori Amos, Portishead and Florence & The Machine.”

Swelter and Burn was created in the summer of 2012 when Willow and Lauren decided that the world finally needed what it has been waiting for all this time– a quirky piano duet band.  Experienced local musician Willow Welter, of Abracastabya fame, brings her lovely, silvery voice to the mix, as well as her impeccable song writing.  Lauren Andrus, coming from a classical background, brings some harmonies and florid pianism.  Together, they write whimsical tunes which delight audiences in both cities in which they have played.
